Obtained by binding Vi polysaccharide to a non-toxic recombinant protein that is identical to pseudomonas aeruginosa exotoxin A.
Ty21a and ViCPS offer comparable one year efficacy to whole cell vaccines and have lower incidence of adverse effects making them preparation of choice for travellers.
